Status
          Secular NGO started in 1983. Initially working under the National Leprosy Eradication Programme, the organization diversified into other areas of health and women's development, as the incidence of leprosy dropped.

Staff strength
          55 full time, 20 trainees and 100 village level workers.

Focus
          Health promotion and disease control, social and economic development of the poor and disempowered, particularly women & Dalits in Theni District & surrounding areas.

Objectives
          Prevention and control of stigmatised diseases (leprosy, tuberculosis, AIDS); ommunity health and community development - especially women's development. Community based programmes directed towards the poorest.
